Marching Lynx earn Best Color Guard, Best Visual at Pursuit of Excellence

The Brandon Valley Marching Lynx placed third in the Navy class at the Pursuit of Excellence high school band festival Saturday in Marshall, Minn. 

The Brandon Valley band also took home awards for Best Color Guard and Best Visual Performance.

In the Navy division, first place went to Sioux Falls Roosevelt; second, to Irondale (Minn.) High School; third, BV; fourth, Brookings; fifth, Sioux Falls O’Gorman, and sixth, Aberdeen Central. 

BV competes in the Tri-State Band Festival in Luverne, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 29, before hosting the Big Sioux Review at the high school that evening at 6:40 p.m.
