Trio of BVHS seniors on First Academic All-State Team

A trio of Brandon Valley High School seniors were selected to the First Team of the South Dakota Secondary Principals’ Association Daktronics Academic All-State Team: Will Brown, Isaac Burchill, Rachel DeSmet. Nomination and selection are based on a students’ grade point average, ACT score, an essay and their involvement on and off campus. It is a tremendous honor to have three students from one school on the top team.

 

Kemner earns academic accolades

Dustin Kemner, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, has earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester.

The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 389 students qualified for the Dean’s List. Students who earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher are considered collegiate scholars, designated with an asterisk. Of the 235 collegiate scholars, 65 of them maintained a perfect 4.0 average. 

Kemner is a freshman and actuarial science major. He is the son of William and Sandra Kemner of Brandon.
