Eight BV grads awarded 
WolfPACT scholarships
Eight Brandon Valley graduates earned WolfPACT scholarships from Northern State University in Aberdeen for the 2017-18 school year.
Scholarships were awarded to Elizabeth Klamm, Cierra Jo Casey, Bryce Christie, Amy Kueter, Molly Kueter, Tyler Nelson, Ashley Schwarz and Emma Terveer.
Klamm’s scholarship was $11,000; Casey, Christie, Amy and Molly Kueter, and Tyler Nelson, $7,000; and Ashley Schwarz and Emma Terveer, $5,000.
The WolfPACT is the largest guaranteed, four-year scholarship in South Dakota. Students entering their freshman year at NSU are eligible for various funding amounts based on their ACT scores.
 
BV Hall of Fame nominations sought
Nominations to the Brandon Valley Athletic Hall of Fame are being accepted through Dec. 31. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the BV High School website under the Booster Club tab, by emailing program chairman Bob Logan at bob@georgeboom.com or calling him at (605) 261-1308.
The 2018 BV Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will be held Saturday, April 7 at the Holiday Inn Express in Brandon.
 
Splitrock Ladies League results
The Splitrock Ladies bowled on Dec. 5, producing the following results: High team game and series, Steve’s Electric, 876 and 2,518. High Individual game and series, Gloria Zellmer, 185 and 465.
 Holly Mulder picked up the 5-10 split; Cheryl Scholl. Vivian Wehling, Elaine Benson and Gynne Anderson all picked up the 3-10 split; Ann Behrend picked up the 5-7 and 2-7 splits; and Carolyn Bauer picked up the 5-6-10 split.
Amanda Lumpkin bowled 57 pins over her average, finishing with a 158 game.
