Splitrock Ladies

League results

The Splitrock Ladies League competed Jan. 21 with the following results: High Team Game & Series, JSA Engineers/Land Surveyors, 879 and 2,483; High Individual Game, Jill Reindl, 177; High Individual Series, Bonnie Kramer, 498.

Joann Gundvaldson picked up the 2-7-8 split; Marlene Blum picked up the 3-10 and 4-7-10 splits; and Darlene Hofer picked up the 4-5 split.

2021 Class AA girls state hoops tourney to be played at Sanford Pentagon

The Sanford Pentagon will host its first high school state championship (Class AA girls) next March following approval Jan. 22 by the South Dakota High School Activities Association Board of Directors.

With the AA and A tournaments no longer being combined after 2020, the board needed to decide on new facilities for next season. Watertown will host A, while the Class B tourney will remain in Huron.

All three tournaments are scheduled for March 11-13.

The boys tournament sites remain unchanged: AA will be played in Rapid City, A in Sioux Falls and B in Aberdeen.
