Lynx land 8 on All-Metro roster

A mix of eight junior and senior football players from Brandon Valley were selected to the 2019 Metro All-Conference Team. Five players hail from the junior class, and three from the senior ranks.
Among the first team selections are seniors, three-year starting quarterback, Thomas Scholten, and offensive tackle, Zach Roggow. Tate Johnson, BV’s premier running back, defensive end Parker Reed, wide receiver and corner back, Jackson Hilton, and safety, Joe Kolbeck are BV’s representatives from the junior class.
Austin Vigants, a junior tight end, and Zach Bennett, a senior center, were named honorable mention.
The Roosevelt Rough Riders list eight players on the first team and two honorable mentions. They are: Adam and Aaron Kusler, senior linebackers, Ben Kohls, senior offensive lineman, senior quarterback Brady Dannenbring, Caleb Dwyer, senior defensive lineman, junior wide receivers Tyler Feldkamp and Michael Paulson, and senior defensive back Nathan Moon.
Juniors Brandon Dannenbring (linebacker) and Tucker Large (defensive back) are honorable mentions.
Sioux Falls Lincoln, which finished second in the Metro, has seven first team players, all seniors, and two honorable mentions. The first team picks are Alex Oppold, offensive/defensive lineman, Jonathan Smith, offensive/defensive lineman, Sam Siegel, defensive back/wide receiver, Mitch Eichacker, defensive lineman, Hunter Merkley, wide receiver, Tyler Hiatt, offensive lineman, and Ayden Sand, linebacker.
Isaac Sarbacker, a senior defensive lineman, and Tommy Thompson, the Pats junior quarterback, are among the honorable mentions.
O’Gorman listed and Washington both listed four on the All-Metro first team. Both programs list two honorable mentions.
For O’G, the five seniors are Cade Mikuska, defensive lineman, Jacob Byrd, defensive back, Tate Wishard, running back, Tip Reiman, tight end, and Will Washenburger, offensive lineman. 
Seniors Zach Norton, wide receiver, and Jonah Wuebben, defensive lineman, are the honorable mentions.
Washington’s first team selections are seniors Brandon Dickens, offensive lineman, and linebackers Randolph Kpai, a junior, and Ben Peterson, a senior, and Tyus Hanson, a junior tight end.
Freddy Frederic, a senior corner back, and Josh Piper, a sophomore wide receiver, were named honorable mentions.
