Lynx bowlers sweep first-year MCM

The Lynx “rudely” welcomed McCook Central-Montrose to the high school club bowling scene Nov. 17 by sweeping their hosts in both boys and girls action.
Seventh-grader Alexis Shea rolled her first 200 game in just her second high school match to pace the varsity 1 girls to a 24-1 victory. She capped off the win with a 499 series. 
Despite the varsity 2 girls losing 15½-9½, Brandon Valley junior Alice Callahan produced her season best, a 158 game, the Lady Lynx won the overall match 33½ -16½. 
Sophomore Hunter Meinert guided the varsity 1 boys with a 225 game and 521 series, leading the Lynx boys to a 21-4 victory.
Senior Dustin Kemner pushed the varsity 2 boys to the 18-7 victory with his 173 game and 460 series, to assist the Lynx boys to the overall 39-11 win.
Following a pair of early-season road matches, the Lynx keglers make their first appearance Friday, Dec. 1 on their home lanes, Empire Bowl in Sioux Falls, when they host Dell Rapids at 4 p.m.
