Lynx 4-H Club holds October meeting

The Lynx 4-H Club met Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Brandon Valley Baptist Church. President Trevor Skogen called the meeting to order. Roll call was conducted by Secretary Keturah Wollman. Roll call topic was “favorite movie.”
Secretary’s report: Previous minutes were read by the secretary and approved.
Treasurer’s report: No report this month.
Old Business: Election of officers was held: Vice-President, Keturah Wollman; treasurer, Julia Tinker; secretary, Tenley Eck; reporter, Grace Panning and Nevaeh Wollman; Community service committee, Hailey Skogen, Leah Sommerfeld, Michael Wollman and Emily Panning.
Premium checks will dispersed today.
New Business: Recognition event is Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson-Nordstrom building at the fairgrounds. Need volunteers to bring door prizes. Panning and Wollman families will bring door prizes
Operation Christmas Child: Motion for club to do two shoe boxes. One for a girl, one for a boy. Club to pay for shipping expenses and club members to bring supplies for the shoe boxes. Motion was made by Keturah Wollman, seconded by Tenley Eck. Motion approved. A link will be posted to group page with ideas and suggestion for items to pack in the shoe boxes. Bring all items to recognition banquet.
Announcements: Make sure re-enroll on 4-H online.
Motion to adjourn the meeting by Hailey Skogen, seconded by Nolan Eck.
Public Presentations: Food Preservations - How to can tomatoes by Keturah Wollman, Neveah Wollman and Titus Wollman; Visual Arts - How to make slime by Hailey Skogen and Leah Sommerfeld.
