Letter to the editor – Destination: Garbage
The election season in Brandon is upon us. It’s great to have people interested in our wonderful home town, as well as the interest that exists in the open Council positions.
Last week, I received my first piece of issue-related mail delivered to my house. I assume I will receive others.
Is it the norm to send out these mass mailings and not include any contact information for the senders?
Seems odd.
Someone feels strongly enough about an issue to spend the money to design a post card, develop the content, have it printed, pay for the postage … but they will not include their name, phone or email address?
The source of this particular mailing? Unknown.
The destination of this type of mailing when sent to my house? The garbage.
