When Roy Beaird put out an offer to teach the finer points  of pickleball on Thursday night at the Aspen Park tennis courts last week, a half-dozen curious folks showed up.

And Beaird was both surprised – and elated – by the interest. Beaird, along with Glen Ramsey first explained how the game is played and scored, and then put paddles in the hands of last week’s attendees to get a feel for the game.

Beaird said he had more interest from people wanting to learn and play, and held a second night of pickleball learning and play this past Monday night.

At this time, pickleball players of all ages are invited to the courts at Aspen Park on Monday evenings at  7 p.m.
