Lady Lynx on 6-0 shutout streak

The Lady Lynx softball team built a five-run lead in the fifth inning to fend off the Watertown Arrows and bring home an 8-7 victory at Aspen Park Sept. 14.
Brandon Valley captured the lead in the first inning, scoring on a double by Gracie Adams and an error. The Lynx brought home four more runs in the fifth inning.
The Arrows rallied for a comeback, scoring five runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Adams led BV with three RBIs. Grace Bowar had three hits for the Lynx, and Mya Bunker threw six innings to collect the win.
BV 11, Watertown 2
The Lady Lynx opened Thursday’s doubleheader with a landslide win over the Arrows.
BV drove in 11 runs in the second inning, thanks to Andrea Cain’s grand slam, doubles by Emily Moschell and Adams, and singles by Jackie Bingham, Jeniah Johnson, Morgan McKellep and Bunker.
“Everyone played well across the board,” said coach Corey Christensen. “All around it was one of the better games we’ve played. When our kids get rolling, they’re hard to stop.”
The 9-4-1 Lady Lynx hit the road for Mitchell on Sept. 21 for doubleheader action at Caldwell Complex.
