Funeral services for Julie Smith, 62, of Brandon, were held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Brandon Valley Assembly of God. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Valley Springs.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Ava’s House following a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Smith, Brandon; daughters, Stephanie (Dave) Dziurawiec, Homer Neb., and Mariah Fox, Newton Iowa; son, Ben Fox, Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Orise Monk, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Laura (Bruce) Schoer, Marcus Iowa, Lisa (Brad) Miller, Lisbon Iowa, Lynn (Mike) Kollbaum, Seargent Bluff, Iowa; step-daughters, Jessica (Tom) Lambert, Sioux Falls, Holly (Bob) Davidson, Dell Rapids; nine grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wanda Desmond, Joshua, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
