Brandon Valley High School student Ellen Joseph has been named the 2019 Class AA Original Oratory State Champion.
The honor is the first for Brandon Valley’s oratory program, which competed in the SDHSAA Debate and IE Tournament March 2.
Two BV Speaking Lynx – Joseph and Grace Lamberty – competed, with Lamberty placing fourth in Class AA Original Oratory.
In addition, BVHS senior Kayden Hoeke was awarded the Rosella Blunk Senior Interp Student Award March 5.
