Brandon Police, South Dakota and Iowa Highway Patrol and Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department jointly apprehended a fugitive at approximately 9 a.m. Sunday, April 7 in Brandon.
According to Brandon Police Chief Dave Kull, an unidentified male in his 20s, was being pursued in Iowa in a vehicle that had reportedly been stolen in Minnesota. The pursuit started north of the Okoboji, Iowa, area, and ended in Brandon on the east side of Splitrock Boulevard near the Aspen Boulevard intersection.
Kull said a homeowner contacted authorities after seeing a vehicle lodged up against a tree after it had gone down a steep slope on the east side of the roadway.
