Elofson brings Wisconsin Christmas trees to Brandon

Despite the national Christmas tree shortage, Brandon is stocked, thanks to new tree stand business owner and local resident Jess Elofson.
Elofson delivered 250 trees – Balsam, Canaan and Frasers – all the way from Tomahawk, Wis., to Brandon.
“Wisconsin-grown evergreens are superior to any other part of the country,” he said. “They are thicker, more healthy. Wisconsin’s climate is perfect for growing trees.”
Elofson got the idea for starting the seasonal business when longtime friend and Wisconsin Christmas tree farmer Brian Redmond had an excess crop this year.
“Brian has run a successful tree farm for over 30 years. I was honored to bring his quality trees to my neck of the woods,” he said.
For the fine art potter, selling Christmas trees is similar to selling his art.
“People are excited about the product, and it’s rewarding to be a part of that. Nobody is unhappy when they come to get a tree.”
Elofson marveled at the loyalty he’s already experienced from local residents.
“After customers get their trees home and see the quality of the trees, they are thanking us profusely and asking if we will be back next year.”
Farm Fresh Christmas Trees is open 4-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12-7 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The lot is located across from George Boom Funeral Home at 2501 E. Aspen Blvd., Brandon.
