Ellie Saxer elected to state ASBSD board
Brandon Valley School Board member Ellie Saxer was elected to the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Board of Directors.
Saxer is representing the Southeast Region, 1,400-9,999 enrollment category.
Saxer has served on the BVSD board for three years. She has led and served on a multitude of district committees and has also represented her board at ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly and at Legislative Day.
“We’re thrilled to have Ellie join the ASBSD Board,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said. “We look forward to working with her and benefitting from her perspective on public education.”
The 18-member ASBSD Board is made up of local school board members elected from four geographic regions (Central, Northeast, Southeast and Western) and five enrollment size categories (265 and under, 266-699, 700-1,399, 1,400-9,999 and 10,000 and above).
