Dance, cheer place in top 5 at Brookings

The Brandon Valley competitive dance team took third overall at the Brookings Invitational Saturday.
BV placed second in the kick division, third in jazz and fourth in pom.
The Lynx made improvements to every routine, noted coach Tracy Kuhn.
“We’ve had road bumps with injuries, causing routines to change and forcing dancers to conform quickly,” Kuhn said. “We’re a bit behind in having clean routines but are progressing and ready to push forward.”
BV’s competitive cheer team took fifth place at Brookings.
BV competes Sept. 26 in the O’Gorman Invitational.
