NOTICE OF MEETING OF LOCAL EQUALIZATION BOARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the governing body, sitting as a Review Board of Equalization for the City of Brandon, Minnehaha County, South Dakota, will meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Brandon City Council Chambers at 308 S Main Avenue, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of the City of Brandon for the year 2021.
All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, are required to notify the Municipal Finance Officer of the City of Brandon in writing no later than 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 11, 2021 of their intentions to appeal their assessment.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY OF BRANDON PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE CREATION OF THE TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NUMBER FIVE 
Notice is hereby given pursuant to § 11-9-3 of the South Dakota Codified Laws, that a public hearing shall be conducted at City Hall-Council Chambers, 308 S Main Ave, Brandon, South Dakota, on March 18, 2021 at 6:30 PM or as soon thereafter as can be heard by the City of Brandon Planning Commission on the question of whether to recommend the formation of a tax incremental district to be located in the following location:
Property within Tax Increment #5
Tract 8, Nelson’s Addition in the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 102 North, Range 48 West of the 5th P.M., Minnehaha County, South Dakota
To be re-platted as TRACT A & LOT 2, BLOCK 2, BRANDON 90 PLAZA ADDITION to the City of Brandon, Minnehaha County, South Dakota
 The Tax Increment District would be created to assist with infrastructure improvements that will create commercial/retail development in the City of Brandon.
 At said time and place, the City Planning Commission shall give all parties who appear or submit written comments an opportunity to express their views with respect to the proposal creation of the District and its proposed location.  Written comments will be received at the office of the Planning Department until the date and time set for the public hearing.

Project: Aspen Park Roadway and Utility Improvements
Sealed BIDS for the construction of the  Aspen Park Roadway and Utility Improvements will be received by the City of Brandon at City Hall at 304 South Main Avenue, PO Box 95, Brandon, SD 57005, before 10:00 A.M. local time Tuesday, March 23, 2021, and then publicly opened and read allowed in City Council Chambers at 308 South Main Avenue, Brandon, SD 57005. Bids will be acted upon by the Owner at a later time.  The Project shall consist of the following work and approximate quantities and kinds of materials:
1,100 LF of 6” PVC Water Main
1,500 LF of 12” PVC Water Main

Construction Services in South Dakota are subject to tax under SDCL 10-46A.  Contractors shall include the applicable tax in their bid price for each item of work.  Tax questions should be directed to the South Dakota Department of Revenue at 800-829-9188.
Each bid must be accompanied by bid security payable to the Owner for five (5%) percent of the total amount of the Bid as a certified or bank check issued by a State or National bank or ten percent (10%) as a bidder’s bond.  
With submittal of a Bid, the Contractor represents that he has visited the site, familiarized himself with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed, and correlated his observations with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid.  Contractor’s Proposals shall hold firm for thirty (30) days from the date of opening.  Mutually agreed upon extensions of time may be made, if necessary.
