Chamber Chat: Brandon Expo spotlights local businesses, organizations

I know you have seen the “Buy Brandon” message around town and you may think there just aren’t enough businesses here for you to keep much of your dollars local. The 9th Annual Brandon Expo is an event for the residents of Brandon to see just what their community has to offer! 

Many local businesses will be in attendance to showcase their products and services. This event is for all ages, as vendor products range from goodies to gifts and home accents as well as vendor services from healthcare to personal investments. Have a fun day learning more about what your local merchants have to offer. Admission to the event is FREE! Looking for something fun to do with the kids? The Brandon Expo is the perfect place for you and your family! The entire auxiliary gym will be filled with fun activities including bouncy houses, coloring contests, and special crafts sponsored by Brandon Ace Hardware. All of this fun is free for all ages!

An exciting new addition to the Brandon Expo is the Kidpreneur Market! This event gives young entrepreneurs a platform to debut their products and services and launch their mini-businesses in an effort to engage children in entrepreneurial thinking and foster their natural, enterprising spirit. Kidpreneurs often become today’s most successful entrepreneurs. It is the mission of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce to encourage kids to think creatively about new and innovative products or service ideas, believe they can start a business and be an entrepreneur, and learn more about with it takes to start and run a business. The Brandon Expo and Kidpreneurs Market will be held in conjunction at the Brandon Valley High School on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Expo runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and the Kidpreneurs Market will be open from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
