Celebrations: Open house to mark Jack Lauer's 95th birthday

Jack Lauer and his family are excited to celebrate his 95th birthday with an open house from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Brandon Lutheran Church, 600 E. Holly Blvd.

The event is being hosted by his children, Steve Lauer, Dave Lauer, Nancy Brown and Suzanne Lauer, and their families.

Jack was born July 18, 1924, and has spent those years focusing on things he loves: family, golf, church and teaching. He taught and was principal at Brandon Valley High School for 36 years. 

When weather allows, he’s a “daily fixture” at the Brandon Golf Course, and walked the course instead of using a cart until the past few years.
