Brandon Community Library News

October programming at the Brandon and Valley Springs Community Libraries is plentiful. Here’s what’s on tap this month:
Preschool Storytime (Brandon): Tuesdays, Oct. 15, 22 and 29, 10:15-10:45 a.m. For ages 3-5.
Toddler Storytime (Brandon): Wednesdays, Oct. 9, 16,23, 30, 10:15-10:40 a.m. For 2-year-olds and their caregivers.
Movies and Activities (Brandon): Saturday, Oct. 12, 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Make alien slime, sheriff badge buttons and a slinky dog craft while watching the newly-released movie that inspired them. For the movie title and information, call the Brandon Library at 582-2390. The activities are first come, first serve while supplies last.
Family Building Adventures (Brandon): Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-12 noon. What will you build? Participants can use LEGOS, Brain Blox, Picasso Tiles or one of the library’s other building kits. All ages welcome.
Kids Create (Valley Springs): Thursday, Oct. 10, 3:15-4 p.m. Kids can explore their creative side through stories, crafts, games and activities.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors (Brandon): Saturday, Oct. 12, 10-11 a.m. Book a 15-minute reading session with AZ, a certified therapy dog to strengthen reading skills. Registration is required.
Foot Reflexology (Brandon): Monday, Oct. 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Reflexology helps as an alternative therapy to reduce pain and stress with sciatica, neck pain and digestion. Learn how reflexology may be of help.
Young @ Heart Book Club (Brandon): Tuesday, Oct. 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m. A book club for adults who enjoy young adult books Call 582-2390 to request the book.
