October events at the library include:
STEAM-N-Thursdays: Thursday, Oct. 12, 3:30-4:30 p.m.-Discover science, technology, engineering, art and math through activities. Design a LEGO® volcano and then make it erupt! For youth grades K-5, registration suggested.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors: Saturday, Oct. 14, 10-11 a.m.-Bone up your child’s reading skills. Book a 15-minute reading session with a certified therapy dog. Registration required. 
Zombie Bash: Tuesday, Oct. 17, 3:30-4:30 p.m.-Would you survive a Zombie apocalypse? Test your survival skills with fun games and activities. Grades 5-8 are invited to attend. Registration required.  
Read for the Record Storytime: Thursday, Oct. 19, 7-7:30 p.m.-Join more than 2 million people across the U.S., who on Oct. 19 will read the same book ― Quackers by Liz Wong - and help break a world record! 
Big Bad Wolf Puppet Show: Friday, Oct. 20, 10:15-10:45 a.m.-Combining elements of Gunniwolf and Little Red Riding Hood, the show features a clever little girl who must outwit a sly and hungry wolf. Recommended for ages 3 and older.  Admission is first-come, first-served; groups of 10 or more must register by calling 367-8710.
Lapsit: Mondays, Oct. 16, 23 & 30, 10:15-10:45 a.m.-Help your baby develop listening and language skills with songs, stories and playtime. Get to know other families. For babies 6 to 24 months and caregivers. 
Preschool Storytime: Tuesdays, Oct. 17, 24 & 30, 10:15-10:45 a.m.-Encourage a love of reading and develop your preschooler’s early learning through stories, rhymes, songs and movement activities. For ages 3 to 5. 
Toddler Times: Oct. 11, 18 & 25, 10:15-10:45 a.m.-Nurture a love of books through music, movement and activities, while developing language, motor and social skills. For 2-year-olds and caregivers
