Brandon Community Library News

Families can look forward to fall storytime at the Brandon Community Library over the next few months.
Here’s the rundown:  
Family Storytime: Thursday, Sept. 7-Oct. 5, & Nov. 2, 7-7:30 p.m. This drop-in program is designed to stimulate early learning with books rhymes music and movement.
Lapsit: Mondays, Sept. 11-Oct. 30, 10:15-10:55 a.m. Helps babies develop listening and language skills through songs, stories and playtime and offers parents and caregivers opportunities to get to know other families. For babies 6 to 24 months and caregivers.
Preschool Storytime: Tuesdays, Sept. 12-Oct. 31, 10:15–10:45 a.m. Encourages a love of reading and develops preschoolers’ early learning through stories, rhymes, songs and movement activities. For ages 3 to 5.
Toddler Time: Wednesdays, Sept. 13-Nov. 1, 10:15-10:40 a.m. Nurtures a love of books through music, movement and activities, while developing language, motor and social skills. For 2-year-olds and caregivers.
New books on the shelves 
• “The Moores Are Missing.” One book, three thrillers by James Patterson with Loren D. Estleman, Sam Hawken, and Ed Chatterton;
• “New England’s Best Trips,” researched and written by Gregor Clark, Carolyn Bain, Mara Voorhees, Benedict Walker. This book features 32 amazing road trips, plus up-to-date advice on the destinations you’ll visit along the way;
• “Barely Legal”, a Herbie Fisher novel by Stuart Woods and Parnell Hall. In the newest nonstop adventure from author Stuart Woods, the protege will become the hero; now is the time of Herbie Fisher.
