There are plenty of events and activities on tap for December at the Brandon Community Library. 
 
BIRTH to 5 
Holly Jolly Hip Hop Party - Tuesday, Dec. 17, 10:15-11:15 a.m. Promote your child’s love of music and dance with holiday-themed dances. For children ages 2 to 5.
Preschool Storytime - Tuesdays, Dec. 3 and 10, 10:15-10:45 a.m. Encourage a love of reading and develop your preschooler’s early learning through stories, rhymes, songs and movement. For ages 3 to 5. 
Toddler Storytime - Wednesdays, Dec.4, 11 and 18, 10:15-10:40 a.m. Nurture your toddler’s love of books through music, movement and stories, while developing language, motor and social kills. For 2-year-olds and caregivers. 
SPECIAL EVENTS
Frosted Holiday Tree Decorating ¬ Saturday, Dec. 7, 10:30 a.m.-12 noon. Frost sugar cones and decorate them to look like a tree (while supplies last).
Santa Storytime – Saturday, Dec. 14 , 10:15-11:15 a.m. Family storytime with a visit from Santa.
 
KIDS K-5 
Kids Create (Valley Springs Branch Library – Thursday, Dec. 5, 3:15-4 p.m. Explore your creative side through stories, crafts, games and activities. 
 
FAMILY
Family Makerspace Adventures – Saturday, Dec. 28, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Drop in and put your logic, design and building skills to the test.
 
ADULTS 
Brandon Library Book Club - Thursday, Dec. 5, 10:30-11:30 a.m. A book club for people who enjoy reading a variety of books. December’s discussion is on Little Heathens, by Mildred Armstrong Kalish. Call 582-2390 for more information. 
Young@Heart Book Club - Tuesday, Dec. 17, 6:30-7:30 p.m. A book club for adults who enjoy young adult books. Call 582-2390 to request the book.
