The Brandon Young @ Heart Book Club will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the library, 305 S. The Brandon Book Club, for people who enjoy a variety of books, will meet 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, also at the library.
The September book is The Handmaid’s Tale by Canadian author Margaret Atwood, a dystopian novel set in a near-future New England in which a totalitarian state has overthrown the United States government.
The Handmaid’s Tale focuses on the journey of a handmaid, who is forbidden to use her birth names and must echo the male, or master, whom they serve.
