Alden Christensen, 88, of Viborg, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services, followed by Military Funeral Honors, was held Thursday, October 8, 2020, at George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon. Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 9 at Spring Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Viborg.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Sue) Christensen of Brandon, and Brenda (Dave Townsend) Christensen of Sherman; three grandchildren, Laura (Bobby Pickett) Townsend of Freeman, Alyssa Christensen of Lincoln, Neb., and Abby Christensen of Chicago, Ill.; two great-grandsons, Brantley and Braxton Pickett; brother, Kilmer (Darlene) Christensen, Viborg; sister, Shirley Korsmo of Escondido, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
