On a night dedicated to “finding the cure,” the Lady Lynx had no “cure” for the Watertown Arrows, who delivered a three-set ESD Conference loss to Brandon Valley. The Arrows won 25-18, 25-11, 17-25.
For the first time in program history, both the Lynx boys and girls took a step on the podium at Saturday’s AA state cross country championships. The season-ending event was run on familiar turf at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls.
Brandon Valley placed five student-athletes on the 2018 All-ESD Girls Soccer ream, tying Pierre and Yankton for the most athletes from one Eastern South Dakota Conference program.
After playing all the way through the loser’s bracket to the title game three years running, the Lady Lynx softball team fell a few wins shy this season, finishing fifth at the state fastpitch tournament Oct. 5-6 in Sioux Falls.
