The Lynx boys’ soccer team went up against a well-rehearsed Sioux Falls Roosevelt team last Thursday night, succumbing to the Rough Riders 2-0 in the team’s final regular season game.
In what Lynx boys golf coach Todd Geerdes describes as “the worst conditions that I have ever seen a team compete in,” Brandon Valley tied for third-place at the Metro Conference Championships. In addition, a trio of Lynx golfers landed a spot on the 2019 All-Metro roster.
Brandon Valley High’s competitive cheer squad captured fourth place at the Huron Invite Sept. 24, accumulating 217 points for the ranking in the 10-team event.
Competing for the Eastern South Dakota Boys’ Golf Conference title on a chilly 44-degree day at Mitchell’s Lake View Country Club, the Lynx overcame the conditions and stayed focus to capture fourth place.
The Lady Lynx varsity gave up seven runs to Brookings Thursday, but the Bobcats’ offense still wasn’t strong enough to stop the taming, as Brandon Valley went on to claim the 14-7 win on the softball diamond at Aspen Park.
With an ESD title under their belts and one regular season game remaining, the Lady Lynx soccer team is also on pace to win their first Metro Conference title in program history this year.
