When it comes to the Lady Lynx cross country team, the underclassmen are in charge. And once again, the team’s first place win at the Watertown-hosted Watoma Invitational was led by the usual suspects: a trio of eighth-graders.
Last Thursday was an emotional evening for the Lady Lynx soccer team last – first, Senior Night festivities, bidding adieu to the team’s 2020 grads, followed by a hard-fought 2-0 win over Sioux Falls Roosevelt.
The Lynx boys’ soccer team went up against a well-rehearsed Sioux Falls Roosevelt team last Thursday night, succumbing to the Rough Riders 2-0 in the team’s final regular season game.
In what Lynx boys golf coach Todd Geerdes describes as “the worst conditions that I have ever seen a team compete in,” Brandon Valley tied for third-place at the Metro Conference Championships. In addition, a trio of Lynx golfers landed a spot on the 2019 All-Metro roster.
Brandon Valley High’s competitive cheer squad captured fourth place at the Huron Invite Sept. 24, accumulating 217 points for the ranking in the 10-team event.
Competing for the Eastern South Dakota Boys’ Golf Conference title on a chilly 44-degree day at Mitchell’s Lake View Country Club, the Lynx overcame the conditions and stayed focus to capture fourth place.
