The Lady Lynx were handed their fourth setback of the season by the Huron Tigers last week, a 51-46 road loss. The Tigers’ used an 11-0 run in the third quarter to erase a deficit, and then fended off a determined comeback by Brandon Valley.
Despite the fact that Brandon Valley (9-5) didn’t shoot the ball well in its 55-41 victory over the Watertown Arrows (5-10) on Feb. 9, a trio of Lynx seniors did their job inside the paint.
Brandon Valley suffered its second team dual loss of the 2020-21 season, a 34-33 setback by the Watertown Arrows, and overcame the Kernels 37-28 at the Feb. 11 Mitchell-hosted ESD triangular.
There’s a lot to be said for experience, and that’s just what the senior-laden Lynx boys used to deliver a dominating 73-37 blow to the Huron Tigers last week at the Huron Arena.
Two more notches were added to the duals’ win column last week, as Brandon Valley registered a pair of solid victories against Brookings (67-12) and one of the top dual teams in the state, the Harrisburg Tigers (45-18).
